Yo-Ho Brewing's Belgian-style white beer. Coriander and orange peel aromas with a mellow palate — designed to reset the middle of your week.
Named for its mid-week appeal — “drink it on Wednesday.” The cat illustration and pale hue are iconic.
Released by Yo-Ho Brewing in 2007. The “Wednesday reset” message and the soft, feminine cat illustration broadened craft beer's appeal, especially to women.
Traditional Belgian witbier style. Wheat malt, coriander seed, and orange peel produce a fruity, aromatic, easy-drinking beer. ABV 5.0%, IBU 9 — very low bitterness.
Excellent with salads, white fish, fresh spring rolls, Caesar salad, and fruit. Built for light cuisine where citrus and herbs can shine. Better as appetizer or lunch beer.
Serve at 6-8°C. Gently swirl the bottle to disperse yeast for the authentic hazy look. A clear glass shows off the color.
Among Yo-Ho's lineup of more masculine-leaning brands (Yona Yona, Indo no Aooni), Suiyobi no Neko was a strategic product targeting female drinkers — symbolic of the brewery's diversification.
