Launched in 1997 by Yo-Ho Brewing in Karuizawa. At a time when local ji-beer brands were hit-or-miss, Yona Yona established serious West Coast-style pale ale culture in Japan. Now part of the Hoshino Resorts group.
Generously hopped with Cascade. Grapefruit and orange notes, gentle malt sweetness, pleasant bitterness on the finish. ABV 5.5%. Complete and satisfying in one glass.
Excellent with karaage, burgers, Thai or Vietnamese cuisine, Caesar salad, and lemon-driven dishes. Hop aroma and citrus / herbs harmonize.
Serve slightly warmer (8-10°C) to bring out aromas. A tulip or wine glass concentrates the bouquet. Don't over-chill.
