Nikenchaya Mochikadoya Honten was founded in 1575 — over 440 years of mochi confectionery history. Brewing began in 1997 under the Ise Kadoya brand. The “ISEKADO” logo is recognized in craft beer bars worldwide.
West Coast pale ale style. Citrus and tropical hop aromas, malt sweetness, pleasant bitterness — textbook craft balance. ABV 5.5%.
Pairs with Japanese (tempura, sashimi), Western (burgers, pizza), and ethnic. Also fun to enjoy after Ise Shrine pilgrimage with Ise udon or akafuku for the local mood.
Serve at 7-9°C in a tulip or nonic pint. Drinking on draft at the Ise taproom is the peak experience.
